Dear players,

It is with great sadness that we have to announce that due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the 35th edition of PolyLAN, which was supposed to take place at the STCC between the 10th and the 13th April 2020, will not take place.

It was a hard decision to make, but following some long talks, both internal and with both the EPFL and STCC, it was the only one possible. As of yet, the federal government hasn't changed the rules regarding events with 1000 or more attendees and knowing that the situation probably won't get better in the following weeks, it wasn't possible to go forward with the event.

We are currently exploring some ways to organize another event before our traditional fall semester LAN, but nothing has been decided yet.

We will keep you informed of the next developments, including everything related to refunds which we are currently working on. Please do not contact us before our next official communication, as we have a lot of details to deal with before being able to answer your questions. Specifically, we will not be able to answer you about possible future dates, refunds or any other questions related to PolyLAN 35 yet

We thank you for the faith that you've put in us and hope to see you during our next events.

Yours truly

The PolyLAN Committee

Is this a kind of early April fool joke Katyusha_Pravda , 1 year, 6 months ago (Avant PolyLAN 35)/ Answer
